Drive-Thru Coronavirus Testing

Beginning Monday, April 6, 2020, Appling Healthcare will offer drive-thru coronavirus testing by appointment only at our main location at 163 East Tollison Street in Baxley.

This testing is available for any patient but only with a doctor’s order from any healthcare provider. Physicians who are not Appling Healthcare providers should call our administration office at (912)367-9841 ext. 1201 for information on required documentation.

Once the order and information is received, Appling Healthcare will call the patient to schedule a testing date and time.

The drive-thru testing will be held Mondays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Tuesdays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Testing will continue as long as test kits are available.

If you have any questions, please call Administration at (912)367-9841 ext. 1201

Appling Healthcare Testing Totals

As of April 3, 2020, Appling Healthcare has tested a total of 35 patients. Three tests are positive, 28 are negative and four are pending. We will continue to work with the Georgia Department of Public Health to update the community on additional confirmed cases from Appling Healthcare.

Personal Care Items No Longer Accepted

Effective immediately, Appling Nursing and Rehabilitation Pavilion is no longer able to accept any personally delivered care packages, food or personal items for residents. This measure is part of our ongoing effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the facility. Resident laundry will still be accepted. We apologize for the inconvenience but appreciate your understanding as the well-being of our residents and staff is our number one priority.

Remote Care Replaces Walk-In Visits

Appling Healthcare’s Primary Care offices are no longer open to walk-in patients. We are instead delivering high-quality care remotely through either a phone call or video chat. This measure is part of our ongoing effort to continue providing quality care while minimizing exposure. These virtual appointments are not just for COVID-19 patients, but also for medication refills and other sick visits. Please contact your primary care office with additional questions or to schedule an appointment. If you already have an appointment scheduled, your primary care provider will be contacting you to schedule you a virtual visit.
