Appling Healthcare COVID-19 Updates

03/16/2020

At this time, Appling Healthcare has no confirmed cases of COVID-19. We are continuing to closely monitor COVID-19 as the CDC protocols are changing quickly. As a reminder, please contact your primary care physician if you feel sick or are experiencing any of the following coronavirus symptoms: fever, cough, or shortness of breath. (A list of our providers can be found at https://www.ahcs.org/our-providers/.) However, if you are experiencing an emergency medical condition of any kind, you should still go to the emergency room as soon as possible or call 911.

The Georgia Department of Public Health Laboratory has limited testing capacity, meaning Appling Healthcare and GPHL must prioritize COVID-19 testing based on risk criteria, such as for individuals who are hospitalized with severe respiratory illness, ill contacts of confirmed COVID-19 cases, healthcare workers, clusters of illness, etc. This may be subject to change, as the situation is very fluid.

While the guidance from our local and state health agencies and the CDC changes daily, we are committed to providing the most current and accurate information available to our patients, residents, staff, and the entire community.
