Visitor policy at Appling Nursing & Rehabilitation Pavilion

07/21/2022

Due to a recent increase in COVID-19 cases among staff and residents at the Appling Nursing & Rehabilitation Pavilion, visitors are asked to remain diligent in following recommended health and safety guidelines.

Anyone entering the Pavilion is required to wear an appropriate face mask at all times while in the building, regardless of vaccination status. In addition, visitors who are sick and/or do not pass the CDC temperature screening at the door will not be permitted to enter the building.

Social distancing must also be maintained in the residents’ rooms. In order to adhere to this requirement, the Pavilion cannot allow more than two (2) people to visit a resident’s room.

“We continue to encourage visits because family members and loved ones play a key role in the quality of life of our residents,” said Kim Jowers, Pavilion Administrator. “However, to best protect our residents, our staff and also our visitors, we have certain precautionary measures in place until COVID-19 is no longer a public health threat. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in making this work to support our residents.”

All decisions regarding COVID-19 at Appling Healthcare facilities are made in consultation with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services(CMS). Appling Healthcare will continue to monitor the community transmission rate for Appling County and adjust our visitor guidelines as needed.
